Missing Ingredients~

Apa khabar? Saya, sihat sejahtera.

This entry, I'd like to talk about my favorite subject. FOODS! Yesterday, a friend came to our house with her daughter. We were spose to discuss our lil project and EAT while doing that. So couple of days before that, I've decided to make Mee Jawa for lunch. Its not what we can find anywhere in semenanjung so, its kinda like a treat for us Sarawakian to be able to get our hands on it.

So, the journey to cook a nice Mee Jawa begun. First, the recipe..a few came out but only 1 that i think i can trust. Got the recipe, Saturday nite, my husband & I went to pasar mlm to get fresh ingredients for the recipe. That nite itself, I did some preparation for the gravy.

The thing is, after so long not having mee jawa, I remember that I actually forgot how it taste n smell. Thats where my sister came to the rescue. She said that the gravy I made, smell & look like Mee Jawa gravy, but its not thick enough. We add some more sweet potatoes to it to make it thicker but unsuccessful. After adding all of the remaining taters, nohing changed. Finally, we decided to add some flour to thicken the gravy. Just this once I thought. Next time, I'll buy more sweet potatoes just in case. hehehe

After Mee Jawa, we sat down to discuss a few details on our project while my brownies doing its wonder in the oven. It smell so good & it didn't took me too long to realize, that I've forgotten to add some baking powder to it. Dang! It still taste good tho. heheh

So thats my entry about food, missing their ingredients but still taste OK. hehehe
Will try not to be too careless next time around. We promised to see each other again this wednesday to continue with our lil project. I will let u guys know what it is when its ready.

How u guys doing? Saya, seperti biasa, sihat la jugak.

Seperti biasa jugak, dah lama x update blog saya yg dah berwajah baru ni.. hehehe..sempat saya mencantikkan blog saya ptg semlm sebelum gi keje. Cantik kan? hahaha..

Saya nk citer pasal keje this time. Hari Sabtu yesterday, June 18, bkn seperti any other Saturday. I have to work. Its our centre sorta fun house. It was soo much fun having those students of ours having fun with english. We had, Line Game, Charade & Ghost games. U can really see it on their face that they were having fun. Every game however based on the using of verbs. They have to use verbs to play the game. Every students have to participate at least once. Even the quietest ones have the opportunity to join in the fun. I dont have to tell u about the chatterboxes. LoL.

The fun house starts at 10:30 & ended at 12:30. By the time it was over, I was all hyped out. Tired but fun. The whole thing was a success. The students demanded to have another session so our principal thought that it would be a great idea to do it again in the near future. Can't wait actually. hehehe..sounds crazy yes? but i really enjoy my work.

The thing with my work is that i have to be responsible to some students..ie a monitor teacher to 3 students from 3 different levels. Well of course i have to be responsible to any students that come to my table to learn but those 3 are in need of special attention. 1 in particular is this Malay girl. I would really love to see her move forward in her english class. She can read english, she can answer those questions in the worksheets but she doesn't understand any of it. Weird? No. She answer those questions by scanning thru the passage given. She read english for the sake of reading. Understanding it is still way beyond her reach. She is also the main reason I have to think twice, thrice about quitting my job for god sake! lol.

Ok, moving on. Today is Father's Day! So, Happy Father's Day to all daddies all around the world.

Last week, June 12th , was my 33rd birthday! Yes, saya dah tua!!! boohoo.. lol
We were in Genting n encik hati took me n Princess to Coffee Terrace for buffet dinner. My sister, gave me a Handbag n a cookbook, my MIL, gave me a house like key holder n my aunt gave me 2 recipes book. Then encik hati took us to bookxcess n got me 2 books by my fav author, Patricia Cornwell. Thank you everyone. I heart u guys so much. N my parents call me on my mobile to wish me happy birthday. Very much appreciated! Time kaseh mak & bapak for giving me this life. I love you both sampai kiamat!
