Coti coti Sekulah..

Assalamualaikum n salam sejahtera sumer.

How r u guys doing? Saya sekeluarga sihat alhamdulillah.

Last week, on Saturday, kami sekeluarga, telah pergi bercuti. X jauh pun, dekat jer. Kat PD jer. We have to go early this time becoz, this whole week, anakanda's school akan ada extra classes in preparation of UPSR. Kalau nk tunggu until last weekend of school holiday, takut nnt, penuh pulak hotel² di PD tu.

We stayed at Avillion Admiral Cove lagi. Actually, last month, saya & encik hati dah stay dah kat hotel tu. Tempatnya sangat BEST. The room is spacious, the environment is so tranquillizing. The hotel itself is located by the sea. Facing the sea, we can watch the sunset & rise every evening & morning. Green sea water. Not green with mud. But green as in teal green. So very beautiful.

Since the last time we went, only saya & encik hati jer yg stay kat situ, so this time around we took anakanda to experience what we've experienced a month ago. Of course, she loved it. We only left the hotel to go out for lunch & dinner. First nite, we had Pizza. Not the pizza hut or domino's pizza but Tino's Pizza. The owner, an Austrian made his own pizza & ice cream or as he call it Gellato.I have no idea on how did an austrian manage to cook up or prepare an Italian food. Semenjak 7-8 years ago, we've never missed going to his place for lunch or dinner everytime we're in PD. Its one of our must go place to eat. He's a very friendly guy who speaks fluent BM. Well, he is married to a local. If u ever find urself in PD, u guys should try his Pizza & Gellato. If u are anything like me who loves authentic italian pizza, then give it a go. The shop is not a typical pizza place. Its very humble. And with tino's daughters all grown up, they turn the shop into, half eatery, half boutique. Or maybe boutique sounds a lil sophisticated, its more like a kedai baju & selipar. Do not fear the interior of the shop becoz the food is superb. And don't forget to try their ice-coffee too. Oh ya, he also bake his own bread.
This time I managed to grab some of his frozen bread. There's quite a variety of bread but unfortunately, we only get to buy his, Farmer's bread and caraway seeds & rye bread.

The round one is the farmer's bread & the oblong one is the caraway seeds & rye bread.

Okay, so nuff about Tino n his foods. hihi
On the second day, encik hati & saya went for  full body massage at the hotel's spa.. SUNGGUH syok! The lady who massaged me, is a very experienced masseuse. The ambiance in that massage room is so calming & relaxing. would really love to do it again bila ada peluang ke hotel tu lagi in the future. hehehe
That afternoon, took anakanda for archery & KMX ride. Semua activity ini pun dlm kawasan hotel jugak.  Glad that she enjoyed herself. Actually, kalau anda ada anak kecik around 5-12 thn, dorang boleh spend their time dekat Kiddies Corner where they have pottery lesson, beadings, card making, sand arts Play-station and much more. Swimming pool pun a very popular spot kat hotel ni.

Now the breakfast, quite a range of food served every morning. From our local nasi lemak, loh see fun, nasi beringin, mihun goreng, congee & a variety of its condiments, cereals, to western breakfast, fresh fruits and even cold cuts & salads.

Mlm pulak, after dinner, we went for a walk kat pantai. So therapeutic.

All in all, we had the most relaxing weekend away from the chaotic KL.

Our Weekend

Assalamualaikum & salam sejahtera sumer.

How r u guys doing? Saya sekeluarga alhamdulillah sihat. Cuma anakanda sahaja yang agak kurang sihat. A lil coughing & running nose.

Okay, been wanting to write something on Saturday.. Sunday.. and even Monday but ended up with frozen fingers. hehehe

Saturday
Got up quite early for anakanda's school's outing. They went to UKM for some motivational talk and adik angkat programme. Left the school at about 7 something if i'm not mistaken n came back at about a quarter past 7 in the evening. She was so exhausted.

Sunday
Lately, there've been a whole bunch of directors(telemovie, drama & film) who did their "shooting" here. So on Sunday, 1 of the location manager came over to our house requesting on using our living room as part of the scene. So we have to do some spring cleaning just to find out later that they actually only need to use our living room the next day(Monday).

Monday
Anakanda didn't go to school for she was having a bad case of allergy. So she was coughing out really bad. Took her to the clinic. Got her some medication.. Anti-histamine & some asthmatic medication to be taken in case of emergency.
The drama crew came. Did their thing & leave. Nothing much on that coz all 3 of us were in our bedroom the whole time they were filming.

Today
Mr husband left for his company Training programme in Colmar Tropicale.
Anakanda didn't go to school again. Still having her allergy.

Hari Guru 2012

Selamat Hari Guru kepada semua guru di mana saja berada. X kira lah anda bekas guru, guru sementara atau guru ganti. Hari Guru merupakan hari yg memperingati jasa guru² di seluruh dunia. Setiap tahun tanggal 16 Mei, sambutan Hari Guru telah diadakan di setiap sekolah di seluruh Malaysia cuma mungkin lambat sehari dua dr tarikh tersebut bergantung pada sekolah masing².

Gambar di atas ni, adalah hadiah yang kami sediakan untuk guru² yang mengajar anakanda pada tahun ini. Tiada apa yang istimewa cuma ingatan tulus ikhlas sebagai tanda terima kasih yang x terhingga kerana telah membantu, memberi tunjuk ajar dan yang penting, mencurahkan ilmu yang x ternilai harganya. Ini cuma "a small token of appreciation" jika dibandingkan dgn apa yg telah diberikan kepada anakanda kami. We only hope that  they enjoy the cake.

Satu lagi gambar cake saya x tunjukkan kat sini sebab decorationnya amat comot. It's a Vegan cake specially for guru² yg vegetarian.

Untuk guru² yg pernah mengajar saya masa di Tadika, sekolah rendah, sekolah menengah & lecturers di ITM, Terima kasih yang x terhingga saya ucapkan. Semoga guru² ini sentiasa dalam lindungan Allah dan dikurniakan kesihatan yang baik sampai bila².Amin.

Spell-It-Right

Assalamualaikum n salam sejahtera semua.

Harini, saya telah berjanji pada diri saya sendiri untuk buat lebih post utk blog saya ni berbanding tahun lepas. so chaiyok².

Sebelum saya teruskan dgn bercerita lebih panjang lebar tentang tajuk di atas, saya nk tanya, apa khabar semua? Saya dan keluarga, sihat Alhamdulillah.

Berkenaan tajuk entry harini, Spell-It-Right, minggu lepas, hari Sabtu, telah diadakan pertandingan tersebut dan  kami anak beranak bersama² seorang kawan baik anakanda telah pergi dan menyaksikannya. Bkn apa nk pergi tgk, anakanda telah menyertai pertandingan tersebut.

Kisahnya bermula begini, bulan lepas, kitorang dah dengar pasal pertandingan Spell-It-Right ni, so adik saya, dah pergi beli newspaper NST dan suruh saya isikan. Dia kata, nnt dia tlg faxkan. So mlm tu, isi lah borang penyertaan tu dgn harapan dapatlah anakanda terpilih untuk menyertainya. Lama jugak saya tunggu jawapan dr pihak yg menganjurkan sehingga terpaksa memujuk anakanda bahawa dia x terpilih & not to worry. Its probably there's too many people have already entered the competition. So, kami semua dah kira cam, x kisah lah. Alih² minggu lepas, hari Khamis, saya dapat panggilan telefon dr pihak penganjur, bertanyakan email address saya & org tu bgtau yg the event will be held on Saturday. WHAT?? in a matter of 2 days, we have to get our daughter ready for the biggest spelling competition in Malaysia and we're not even sure if she will be selected in the first place. Saya rasa, itulah hari yg sangat2 mengujakan. Terus call encik suami mintak tlg print out email tu. Lepas tu masa ambik anakanda balik dr skolah, terus gi jumpa cikgu English dia, mintak tlg coach anakanda di sekolah the next day.

Hari Khamis tu, anakanda balik jer dr skolah, terus practice dgn dictionary. Alhamdulillah, we have 1 of many dictionary yg akan digunakan utk pertandingan tersebut. Ours is Cambridge Advance Learner 3rd Edition. So ke hulu ke hilir la dgn dictionary. The next day, kat skolah, her english teacher only coach them(anakanda & another boy) for half an hour. Balik rumah, lepas mkn, terus proceed practice spelling lagi.

Come Saturday. Anak beranak bangun before 6 to get ready. Siap saya masakkan bihun goreng for breakfast. Yelah, kena la bangun awal. Semenyih ke Tropicana Mall tu bkn dekat. Nak² kalau jalan sesak. We dare not take the risk to be stuck in traffic, so by 7, we left the house. Picked her bestfriend up and we're on our way. Reached tropicana mall before 8. Masa sampai tu, ramai jugak parents, teachers and students yg dah sampai. Masing² dgn segala macam cara untuk menghadapi pertandingan tu. Selesai pendaftaran, terus cari tempat duduk. Tunggu punya tunggu, lebih kurang pukul 10 barulah nak mula.

Masa anakanda kat atas stage tu, sayalah yg paling nervous. Siap menggigil jari ni. Alhamdulillah, lepas pusingan pertama dan kedua. anakanda telah berjaya terpilih sebagai finalist. Throughout the whole thing tu, terkeluar lah perkataan² yg x pernah didengar walaupun saya ni bolehlah dikira banyak jugak membaca. Nasib x menyebelahi anakanda, dia tersingkir di pusingan kedua final. Kitorang kira² dia no 7. Alhamdulillah la jugak. Dgn masa yg terhad untuk berlatih berbanding skolah² lain. Ini dikira sudah cukup baik bg kami sekeluarga. Anakanda dpt RM100 sebagai hadiah saguhati.

Inilah satu² pengalaman yg x mungkin kami akan lupakan seumur hidup. Dan tahun depan , Insha-Allah dipanjangkan usia, kami akan dtg lagi. =D
